Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for an undergraduate program at the University of Melbourne, applicants are required to satisfy the following minimum criteria:
- Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an equivalent qualification.
- Fulfillment of any supplementary academic conditions specific to your chosen undergraduate degree. These conditions may encompass prerequisite subjects, mandatory tests, portfolio submissions, interviews, or auditions.
- Compliance with the stipulated English language proficiency standard.
- TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT): A total score of at least 79, with individual scores of 21 for writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading, and 13 for listening. When submitting your scores with your application, use the TOEFL Institution Code: 0974. Please note that the revised TOEFL paper-delivered test is not accepted.
- IELTS (Academic): A minimum total score of 6.5, with no individual band score falling below 6.0. When applying, make sure to request your testing centre to release your results to the University of Melbourne on the test day.
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): An overall score of at least 58, with no communicative skills score less than 50. To share your PTE Academic scores with the University, inform Pearson during the application process.
- Cambridge English, Advanced/Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Achieve a Cambridge English Score of at least 176, with no skill falling below 169.
- C2 Proficiency (previously known as Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)): Attain a Cambridge English Score of at least 180, with no skill below 180.
Fee Structure
To secure your acceptance of the offer, a minimum deposit of $AUD 17,000 should be made by the deadline indicated in your offer letter.
This payment of $17,000 will be applied as your initial tuition fee installment. Upon your enrollment, you will receive an invoice for the remaining tuition fees for the semester (or study period), accessible through your student account. The due date for payment will be clearly indicated on the invoice.
