  • To be categorized as an international student when it comes to paying tuition fees.
  • The applicant must have applied for a full-time undergraduate course offered by the University of Warwick.
  • The applicant must have registered for any general course offered by the university. Apart from those who have applied for Foundational courses are also welcome.
  • The Foundational courses include(Arts and Humanities, Biological Sciences, Psychology, Business Management, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Physics,  Engineering, Social Science, Law, Mathematics & Statistics, and Extended Intensive English).

Procedure To Apply

The procedure of the application starts with the question ‘What makes you excellent.’ A question like this is posed to ensure that you curate your best form in the statement. You are expected to write about yourself in a way so that the Scholarship givers know that you are the right person not for the university for tomorrow as well.

The university expects you to write the answer in a way that not reveals bullet points about your personality but also the broader context that makes you think ‘Why you are the right candidate.’ The response is expected to be around 400 words. And your answer can reflect examples from your academic or extracurricular engagements.

Conditions

This scholarship expects a candidate to meet certain conditions, non-acceptance of which may lead to the withdrawal of the scholarship. The conditions are

  • Accept the scholarship at the proper time.
  • Register on time for the Academic course as well.
  • Be a full-time student and have an international status.
  • Maintain grades in your course of study.
  • Prior permission from the university is to be taken in case the candidate wishes to transfer courses, suspend studies, etc. Not informing may even demand paying back the full scholarship to the campus.
  • Inform the university about any other external funding.
  • Maintain your living costs because this scholarship only covers the academic fee.
  • If the applicant withdraws before the course completion, he/she is expected to repay the amount left.
  • Agree to talk about the influence of scholarship any time in life soon.

Lastly, the applicant will receive an email related to the scholarship confirmation.

Albukhary Undergraduate Scholarships

The Albukhary scholarship is expected to give access to global-level education. Funded by a Malaysian-based charitable trust called Albukhary Foundation, the scholarship focuses both on academic and need-based considerations. In 2022/23 it was a total of 3 Albukhary scholars who were welcomed to Warwick.

Ashinaga Warwick Scholarship (For Sub-Saharan African students)

Due to the long colonial history and exploitation, Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the worst-hit regions of the world. Though an economically rich area, the potential to exploit that is quite less. Furthered by continuing civil wars, the young minds of the area have been hit badly. Resulting in situations like school dropouts, loss of family, house, and much more.

Keeping this situation under consideration, the University of Warwick in partnership with the Ashinaga Association UK ensures financial assistance to those sub-saharan African minds that are bright academically but have been either orphaned or have grown up with a single parent. The aim of this scholarship is not just assistance to those minds but also to make them capable of providing their attained assistance capacities back in their home.

It was started in September 2022 and would run in 2023 as well.

  • The students will receive full tuition fees paid by Warwick’s Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship.
  • It will also cover travel, visa, and living costs.
  • Ashinaga UK also provides leadership training to make them capable leaders for the future.
  • Funding summer internships that will develop the students professionally.

It runs in two stages, first the registration form and last the final application form. The applications are made through the Ashinaga Africa Initiative webpage.

A total of 25 scholarships are awarded which covers both study and living expenses.

Sports Scholarships

The sports scholarship provided by the University of Warwick aims to strike a balance for those students who wish to continue their sports and academic career. The scholarship is open to both the UK and foreign students.

Eligibility

  • It is open to candidates that are highly skilled in any sport and are competing for a country.
  • It is disbursed on an annual basis.
  • The scholarship is open to undergraduates and postgraduates.
  • The sports played shall have recognition by the Sport England governing body.

Value

The awards under this scholarship are multiple. It enhances training and provides access to equipment.

By being a student of Warwick additional benefits of having a physiotherapist, and food nutritionist are also available.

Undergraduate Sanctuary Scholarships

Based in the city of Coventry which is located in the center of England the scholarship associates the name “Sanctuary within it because of the policy of providing space and comfort to those who are seeking sanctuary from war and persecution.

The scholarship is available to students who seek asylum in the UK and are not entitled to receive any financial support from Student Finance England.

Eligibility

  • A permanent leave to stay because of an asylum seeker application
  • A Limited Leave to stay as a result of an asylum seeker application
  • The asylum seekers seeking Humanitarian Protection.
  • To be a dependent child/spouse as mentioned on the asylum application.
  • UK visa concession for Ukrainians because of the recent Russia-Ukraine crisis.
  • Conditional/unconditional/awaiting status by the university in the below-mentioned courses.
  • Undergraduate course (Full-time course which lasts up to three years, Part-time course).
  • Unable to get tuition or maintenance loan because of immigration status.

Value

The selected candidates will receive a full tuition fee and maintenance fee.

After the acknowledgment of the email, the applicant along with the referee will be asked to produce some documents, and a final decision shall be conveyed within weeks.
