Bringing Hindi language and literature to life through cultural and

Biography

Shilpa is a Hindi language educator with over two decades of
experience teaching across IB (PYP and MYP), Cambridge IGCSE,
and CBSE curricula. She has spent much of her career at an IB
World School, where she teaches IB Hindi and Cambridge IGCSE
Hindi with a strong inquiry-based, criterion-referenced
approach.

Beyond the classroom, she has taken on significant leadership
responsibilities as MYP Exam In-Charge and Event In-Charge,
coordinating academic assessments as well as cultural and
literary programmes for the wider school community. Her long
tenure reflects both deep subject expertise and a sustained
commitment to student pastoral care.

Shilpa’s teaching philosophy centres on inclusive,
inquiry-based classrooms where language becomes a tool for
creativity and cross-cultural connection — an approach she has
refined over 20+ years across multiple curricula and school
settings.
